Do you live in California? I haven't heard about it either out on the East Coast.

Read the letters to the editor. Been going on for two weeks now.

Pacific Gas and Electric (states largest energy provider) donated 250k of their shareholders money to fight Prop. 8. Goes against their company bylaws to do so.

It is big new in Cali.

I have heard nothing about it as well, either over the pulpit or even from a Sunday School teacher or other member just mentioning it. I think outside of CA it's not getting much play.

Well, he is making up for bad karma with this huge donation, at least in God's eyes.

It's funny that one of the largest donors for this cause is someone, who apparently, believes that outting someone as gay is impugning his character. As if being gay means you have bad character. This is the kind of paleolithic thinking that is encouraged by the church (not an exaggeration, see the LDS press release).
Great. Make a judgment.

laws are 'technicalities'. Why should a law get in the way of 'intent'?

I'm 99% sure he's LDS, since he was in my stake presidency and all.
