A couple of things help me. You can plan a route and try to beat your previous time or make it a goal to keep your average speed above a certain number. Picture yourself as Miguel Indurain and you are untouchable in a TT.
When you don't want to hammer that hard just use the time to clear your head or think about the things you have read on CB or CG during the day. The country roads are so quiet around here that lately I've been taking an IPod when I ride but If I were in a busy area I wouldn't do that. |
