I would recommend climbing Kilimanjaro is you get close to it. I have never been to Africa, but my 2 best friends have spent a lot of time there. They were able to get a guide cheap by just showing up. the Sherpas carry everything for you, you aren't allowed to do it yourself. It is a 4 day trip though. 3 days of hiking, that is not too difficult, just trying to get you acclimatized, and then you hit the summit. They loved it, if you can disregard the projectile vomiting and diarrhea. I guess the Sherpas also make the food for you and it can be a bit on the greasy side. Amazing view to see the sunrise at 20000 feet. One day I will get over there and do it.
I can talk to them if you have questions or want more info. |

I would love to do that, but unfortunately my eight year old son gets altitude sickness. Otherwise we had planned on taking my seventy something father up the mountain. Maybe next time we'll climb it. It is on the agenda.

You up to visiting Victoria Falls and going on safaris? I don't want to pander to you, but if you are interested in this section of Africa, let's have some dialogue. |

I loved it when I visited Agidar Morocco. Some of the best oranges I ever ate in my life came from there. I had plenty of fun bartering for trinkits. Casablanca is too much like any other large city.
