Nothing really. I've just always laughed at the quote and try to use it whenever possible. I hope you took it as a joke.
As to the substance of the original thread, turkey is a delicious, versatile and healthy meat. My wife and I prepare it at least twice a week. I have experimented a few times with turkey burgers. My most succesfull used a mixture of ground turkey, bread crumbs, balsamic vinegar, a little olive oil and shredded cheddar cheese. This one is really good, but it can get dry fast. Another good use of turkey is to marinate turkey cutlets for a few hours in soy sauce, sprite and some fresh minced garlic. Throw it on the grill for a few minutes on each side and your good to go. The turkey cutlets are thin enough that you get a very powerful flavor. |

This reminds me that we had chicken cordon bleu the other night, with the ham inside the chicken...
My son asked in all seriousness how the chicken managed to eat the pig. On the subject at hand, I tried feeding Flash turkey burgers and turkey tacos and such. Told him it was healthier. He quickly put an end to that. Apparently Montana is red-meat-and-potatoes country. |

I am not traditionally a ground turkey (or ground beef) fan. But I like this recipe due to the flavors. Good balance of spice.

The problem with turkey in general is that it has a "still tastes good" life of about 2 hours after it's cooked. Cold leftover turkey just doesn't taste that good to me. Reheated turkey is only slightly better. You've got to eat turkey within the first two hours after it comes out of the oven.
