I try to read 2 chapters a day
I just finished Alma 37.
My wife finished last month as part of a YW(she's in the presidency) challenge. They had 2 months to read the whole thing and those who did got to go to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor for free. 3 YW did it. |

At one point in 2003 I had three concurrent BoM challenges: my bishopric, my institute class, and my cousin (reading it in a foreign language on her mission, asked me to keep her pace).
Why don't they ever challenge us to read the New Testament? |

2Nephi Chapter 2 proves it to me...
My wife is teaching early morning seminary this year. She taught 2Ne2 today. I asked a whole buch of questions about it - did you mention this? did you mention this? did you mention this? etc...
But 2Ne2 is IMO the MOST IMPORTANT single chapter of scripture that we as LDS's have. It contains many of the 'plain and simple truths,' and makes unneccessary most of the work ot two millenia of christian theologians. Tomorrow, I get to get up at 5:00 am to do a review of 2ne2 with her class - while she makes traditional Friday Seminary waffles. I'll like the waffles, but I'm keeping my mouth shut next time...
