I'm a bit torn here....I'm glad for NC that he's back in LA; I didn't agree with how things ended for him at SC, but I most certainly hate the program that resides in Westwood.
I think BYU beats FUCLA in Sept; give FUCLA a few years and they may make some noise. |

Give Neweasel a few years and FUCLA will be on probation, with him hired somewhere else.

Norm Chow will help UCLA. But their offense was so bad this year, I'm not sure if he can get them playing that well fast enough that it will matter in our game with them. I'm skeptical BO can become a decent QB but Chow will help.
If Chow stays a while, UCLA will become a power. With Walker handling that D and Chow on O, they will rival USC shortly. Chow's old though, can't imagine him coaching for too much longer. |

Keep in mind that in No-Cho's first year at SC, he masterfully guided the Trojans to 10th place in total offense and 8th place in scoring.
That was back when people were still calling the QB Carson Powlus. Norm will be a help to Fucla, but not that much in his first year. Ben Olson sucks because he isnt as good as everyone thought he was, not because of his offensive coordinator. It is going to take some time for them to recruit players that fit into the new offensive scheme. The best hope for all FUCLA opponents this year is that they continue to run their West Coast set. It worked wonders for them last season...
