This becomes especially true when the BCS school that comes calling is a perennial top 5 program. I can see why people would turn down a bottom half BCS program for a BYU. Especially when you consider the sheer number of games you're likely to lose at a bottom half BCS school compared to playing for a BYU/Utah/Boise State etc...

Disappointing that our built-in obstacles are too much for even the best of our tribe.
It bothers me more because USC will remain USC without him, but BYU might take a step forward with a few players of his caliber. Texas A&M scored the 15th best class and BYU WITH Kaveinga was only the 52d. Our position is lamentable in light of the conference and the lack of exposure.

To add insult to injury, last night on the local 11PM news, Kaveinga wasnt even mentioned in the list of SC signees.
If he had come to the Cougs, it would have been a story every day for a week.
