This is precisely the problem. We need to see them with their warts, blotches, and zits.

That was a test, not unlike the following:

"R_PE"

Which word first comes to mind?

Just wait until you get old and have liver spots, receding hairline, and a big zit on your nose brought on by the stress of speaking in GC - we'll see then whether you're truly on the side of broadcasting "warts and all" in glorious High Definition which will then get recorded and preserved for generations of people to see. Personally, I would go with the makeup.

Of course I'd prefer to look pretty; but some spiritual object lessons are worth it . . .

How many members will lose their testimony if GC is shown in high definition, and all the warts and wrinkles revealed?

And how many would feel more affection for our leaders who serve us through their old age and faults and inabilities?

Mrs. PAC and I had an enjoyable conference experience, and thought several of the messages were particularly good. But things deteriorated rapidly at the end of the final session when she said, "It's surprising President Monsen hasn't gone grey." To which I responded, "He may visit the same hairdresser as President Reagan, whom one pundit described as 'not grey, just prematurely orange.'" This led to bitter marital strife in which my wife (who admittedly is closer to the spirit and to the latest in hair care technology than I) insists President Monsen in tonsorially pure, while I believe that the Monsen household budget includes a line item for Grecian Formula. Perhaps I'm just bitter and envious. How do you vote?
