My two favorite are O Savior, Thou Who Wearest a Crown - #197, I think the music is Bach

and Souviens Toi, from the French hymnbook. music by Dvorak, the lyrics are a parent speaking to its baby and asking it do you remember? remember where you come from? remember who you were with?

Brightly Beams our father's mercy is not sung enough by men's quartets. I hear this about every 4 years or so and I can't get enough of it.

I sang this in a quartet in a sacrament meeting just about a year ago--it's a great hymn. Another that just gets me excited, though a bit repetitive, is Let Zion in Her Beauty Rise.

Another great one is "the day dawn is breaking"... it always gets my juices pumping when it is sung at a quick tempo.

this may be one of of those songs that is played alot in some wards, but hardly at all in others. i am in one of those wards now where it is never played. shame!
