That's a lot of Americans, btw.
Did I speak about Americans in general?

The reality is this is the right move, especially if Romney cares about his country and his party. It is demonstrative of humility and integrity. And you are upset that your disdain for the man is proved foolish.

His actions are not to be confused with arrogance. He recognizes that his continued campaign divides the Republican party and paves the way for a democratic nominee to win the presidency which would be DISASTEROUS -especially in regards to the war on terror.

Arrogance is the evangelical who has remained in the race because he actually believes he his IS Gods will.

Actually what disdain I had for Romney, was not foolish. It was borne out in his rejection by the GOP electorate. He made too many foolish promises, and turned too many people off in the process.

No, he only lost because of his religion. His campaign was absolutely perfect, and Mitt himself is nothing less than an even more perfect (if that's possible) version of Reagan.

Which Mitt?

Mitt 1.0, Mitt 2.0, Mitt 3.0, Mitt98, MittNT, MittXP, or VistaMitt?

Romney's move is neither arrogant nor heroic/unselfish. He's a politician and it's a calculated political move that maximizes his political value.

No, Mike. The Republican party now regrets it's willful ignorance in permitting religous bigotry to eliminate the best candidate a real opportunity to win the nomination.

Woot, your act is tired. You may dislike me but you should refrain from attacks as it makes you look bitter and angry because you cannot contend with another persons ideas in a mature manner.

There is always courage involved when one decides to run for office. It's far too easy to dengrate his actions as purely politcal.
