Sophistry is to observe this thread at a distance and only intervene at a point where you feel you can contend, all the while doing so while claiming allegiance to another partipants logic.

How often do a lion and tiger mate? How often is the copulation successful? What does the insemination, if successful produce?

Answer: An infertile abberation that is incapable of reproduction!

Is that evolution?
I didn't say it was evolution. I made the point to demonstrate that demarcations between species is often much like demarcation between salt and fresh water in an estuary.

Were you aware that humans on average are considerably larger both in height and girth today than even 50 - 100 years ago?

We are talking cross-section averages measured by science and not anecdotal evidence.

Is that sophistry or splitting hairs?

That's not a genetic issue. You're oversimplifying biology.

This is like the global warming debate. It's like explaining the difference between the weather in west valley city on Friday, August 15th and changes the average temperature of the entire globe over 50 years.

But it is plausible to believe that some mammals grew larger as their environment dictated.

I am not trying to oversimplify biology.

Absolutely.

Now use that logic to explain why a human fetus has nonfunctional gills and why every last one of us has inactivated genes that encode rows of nipples like a dog. And also...would you mind explaining why snakes have nonfunctional hips and legs that don't protrude from their bodies?

Is this ZERO evidence, tooblue?
