NIce try buddy. You meant fat body-builders. Sire you did, you stubborn, hard-headed person.

Recreational ATV riders are much worse than ranchers; but they should have a say in how the land is managed too.

Grazing doesn't prevent outdoor enthusiasts or hunters from enjoying the land; but it doesn't enhance the experience either.

And the fundamental principle for me is striking a balance for the health of the land.

Right now, there is no balance.

I just returned from a vacation during which I drove through the National Grasslands. I saw cows grazing. I saw wild horses grazing. I saw antelope grazing. I saw buffalo grazing. I saw no damage to the land.

Of the above animals, there were only fewer horses than cows. There were more buffalo than cows. And the antelope numbers were astonishing. I'd guess that there were more than double of horses, cows and buffalo combined in the number of antelope.

Based on my sampling, buffalo and antelope are more of a threat to federal land than cows.

If the wolves aren't going to do their job of thinning the herds to protect the federal lands, get rid of 'em.

Wolves haven't been reintroduced in the National Grasslands.

True, but my point is that cattle don't cause anymore damage than the wildlife on federal lands.

As for wolves not being in the Grasslands, that is true for now. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to think the wolves could eventually be in the nearby Black Hills where the Grasslands are located.

You mean the wolves don't know to stay within the boundaries of where they have been reintroduced?

Perhaps if the feds built higher fences the wolves couldn't jump over the problem would be solved.
