I wonder how seriously he would be taken?

If I remember correctly the guy won Olympic gold. Unfortunately for wrestlers there was nowhere to go after your Olympic career until UFC. I don't know how old Angle is, but anyone with the ground game that he has could do well in UFC. I think his biggest problem would be his age.

Yes, he won a Gold Medal in Atlanta,,,wrestling with at the with a broken neck of all things. After that he went to the WWE for a long time, and signed with a young wrestling company called TNA last year.

It'll be interesting to see if he can translate his skills to the MMA scene. Brock Lesnar is also scheduled to make his MMA debut in early June sometime as well.
