Some schools are simply basketball schools, while others are football schools.

BYU was a basketball school pre-Lavell. My theory is that basketball schools are schools that have lousy football teams. Florida and Texas usually have good b-ball teams, but they're not considered basketball schools because they have great football programs and it just overshadows basketball.

Don't get me wrong, I love basketball, but football is the greatest spectator sport there is and nothing generates more interest and excitement at the college level than an exceptional football team.
