Default Uploading music from iPod

Does anyone know of an easy and safe way to upload music from an iPod to your hard drive? I am trying to transfer some songs to my work computer and aside from making cds/dvds, I can't figure out an easy way to do so.

I've read a little on podutil, which is supposedly a a decent progam. But I've also read of some ipod hard drive crashes as a result. Other subscription services I've read about are podplus and podrip.

Any experience with any of these programs? Is there an easier way to do it without new software?

I used http://www.copypod.net/. You will pay 20 bucks for it but it has a nice interface and is easy to use. Well worth it.

OK, you are obviously the expert on iPods. I have some RealPlayer music files. Is there any way to convert them so that iTunes will accept them?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

The iTunes program has a nice conversion that I have used to convert my wma files mp3 for play. I never use RealPlayer so I forget what files they play, but there are free file converter programs all over the internet if you Google it.
