Bronco era:
Games 1-3: avg wins 1.5
Games 4-6: avg wins 2.5
Games 7-9: avg wins 2.1
Games 10-12: avg wins 2.4

Maybe those clusters could be defined this way:
1-3: non-conference games (generally the "tougher" teams)
4-6: conference play begins
7-9: conference play drags on, TCU game usually in here
10-12: positioning for bowls
