Default Have you heard about these new rule changes?

Read the second paragraph to see the new rules. I agree with the coaches on this one. These changes will make some exciting games meaningless in the last 30 seconds.

Notice that Spurrior complained. This guy is known for RUTSing the hell out of the little guy and he's griping that it will help "the underdog team."

The other coach quoted was Belotti. I'd be curious to know if it's only the BCS coaches that are complaining.

I agree that it could change things in a close game down the stretch, but that's what timeouts are for. I don't neccessarily like the rule change, but based on who was quoted, I'd like to know if it's the BCS coaches complaining about it the most.

I like the rule changes.

College football scoring is out of hand, and I think cutting 10-15 plays a game from your offense will be good for the game on a whole. It will allow for smaller school teams to compete with the larger schools.

How many games have you watched or heard updates in the past couple of years where, Florida, USC, FSU, Georgia, Texas, etc, are not 'playing good' against a lower tier team and only start to pull away midway through the third quarter?

Off the top of my head I can think of at least 5 from last year, that now with the new rules, are competitive games into the fourth quarter.

Another positive, college games won't be lasting 4 hours anymore, halle-freakin-lujah....
