Will Patterson get a major offer? I should think so. The ESPN article saying that Weiss is fired mentions Patterson as a possibility. That's a stretch IMO.

One wonders if Whittingham might get an offer.

I think Leach is willing to leave Texas Tech for the right offer.

Imagine if Patterson and Whittingham both left. That would change the dynamics of MWC greatly.

(and no I don't think any school will pursue Bronco. I'm happy to eat my words, but I just don't see it).

I think I'll start a website LeachForBYUHeadCoach.com. We can promote Bronco to replace Whit at the U. That way he can coach at the school of the Prophets.

And we lowly Cougs can be entertained by Master Leach.

Maybe we can promote the idea that there is a Danish beer exception in the church.

But seriously, isn't our church about bringing lost sheep into the fold, about accepting repentance? Leach is the perfect candidate to be the "redeemed" LDS HC.

TCU and Patterson sign longterm deal. Would not surprise me if Patterson turned down other offers. He has a good thing going at TCU, he is financially comfortable. He likes the people he works with, and the expectations are not like it would be at OU or Notre Dame.

He may be owning the Mendenhall/Anae "brain" trust for many years.
