Default Tropic Thunder

Has some funny LOL moments, but overall I would recommend that you wait for DVD.

It has some pretty dark gross-out humor, so be advised that if you find that stuff unpalatable, stay away.

Stiller, Downey Jr., and Cruise do a great job.

Wasnt his role just a cameo? I thought he was only having a cameo. Was it that good?

It was more than a cameo, but not a big part. Pretty funny, though, and seeing a very hirsute, balding Tom Cruise was quite pleasing, despite his character's constant buggery references.

I concur with MW's view as I laughed loudly maybe a half dozen times which I rarely do. But it was uneven, and there were times I was a little embarrassed I was laughing so hard--the explanation of why Stiller didn't win an Oscar for his portrayal of a mentally challenged person was a guilty pleasure (hint to aspiring actors: play disabled people with compensating skills, like Rainman or Forrest Gump, but never go "full retard" like Sam I Am).

The faux trailers that precede the movie are really good and shouldn't be missed as they establish each character's typical movie role (e.g., Jack Black's apparently made a career playing morbidly obese family members who fart a lot--hello, Eddie Murphy).

I agree with the sentiments here. Very funny parts but also some over the top crude moments. I would see it again though as the funny moments were pretty damn funny. The best thing Robert Downey Jr. did was to get clean. He is really showing his talent in the last couple of films.

For me, the landmine scene was the funniest. "See, latex and cornsyrup!"

That part was good. Overall it was funny, but like you say it was uneven. Tom Cruise was funny.

Saw it last night.

Not impressed.

They recycled the same 5 jokes over and over again.

A painfully unfunny movie save for a few chuckles.
