This is pretty interesting. Sounds like cell phone companies will just give the fee a different name down the road. |

They will just stop giving everyone steep discounts on handsets when they sign up.
Churn is inevitable. My gues is that people won't be switching all the time even without the termination fee because people are generally locked to certain devices that they prefer (also certain carriers have better network coverage in different areas, so switching to a weaker signal would not be smart).
