I'm just asking. I sure think he sounds more sure of himself and credible than Obama addressing this issue.

Some in the middle east want the weaker of the two (less likely to apply force) and that is Obama. But if you are an ultraconservative Islamofacist government that maintains its legitimacy by convincing people that United States is going to attack it, it is in your interests to have a US President who will at least talk tough to you.

I don't think it is far fetched to believe.

That's a good point. It's easier to convince the extremists that the US is a threat to Islam if the President isn't an appeaser.
