That's incredible.

A few years ago I did some consulting in South Florida and got to take an airboat and helicopter tour of the region. The runoff from the sugar cane farms has a huge impact on the ecology of the everglades. Just a few ppm difference in phosphorus concentration completely changes the vegetation.
