I can't speak for the church outside of Utah, but I have a friend whose family exterminator business is used to spray all the trees on the temple grounds and the church office grounds and they were told that if there were any illegals working for them, the church would find another contractor to do that work.

depends on how you look at it. The church provides goods from the Bishop's storehouse in exchance for service or "work" provided by illegals all the time.

I don't see it as an issue of hate. It's more an issue of allowing for a structured and controlled manner of immigration. It costs California a lot of money to deal with illegal immigrants. The U.S. has passed laws (which are not being enforced) which provide for orderly immigration - which I am 100% in favor of.

The real issue is that illegal immigrants provide very low-cost labor for businesses, and the current administration is completely in bed with business interests. That's why the immigration laws aren't being enforced - the special interest business lobby.
