Saw "Vantage Point" tonight
The movie is so ridiculously convoluted....that if you're willing and able to accept that and turn your brain off and just have fun with it, then you'll enjoy.
It's like Groundhog Day meets 24.

2008 has been a terrible year for movies so far, doesn't look to change till May either.

Car chases in narrow European streets are always fun. Was that a BMW the main character was driving? I asked my wife if she saw the car badge, and she said, "I dunno, maybe a Ford Festiva??". Maybe |

I agree. As long as you go into the movie with low expectations for a good plot, its a very enjoyable movie. I really liked the way the story was presented. very original idea.
Watching Matthew Fox try to speak Spanish with another voice dubbed in was worth the price of admission. |

You think that was more absurd than Matthew Fox, the undercover Spanish terrorist, working his way up to being the Presidents personal body guard? "Its such a relief to not have to live the lie any longer." I enjoyed the movie, but it was way over the top in so many ways. But yes, the Forrest Whittaker/little girl connection was pretty sappy. |

It had a pretty sweet car chase scene though.
