Default Gone Baby Gone & We Own The Night

Watched both of these on DVD in the past week.

Gone Baby Gone was very good...very well done, with some nice twists. Well shot and effective.

We Own The Night.....boring and predictable.

Saw Gone Baby Gone also and enjoyed it very much. I really like Casey Affleck as an actor. His brother Ben is better suited to screenplays and directing.

I think he's also a good actor. My one problem with him.....seems like he plays every character the same and a lot of times you have to strain to hear what comes out of his mouth.

Maybe he's different in the Jesse James movie with Brad Pitt.

That's next on my list to see. True Casey does seem to play the same character. I like him regardless. He was on Oprah and she asked him what it was like when he found out that he was going to be working with Brad Pitt on the Jesse James movie. Apparently she forgot about that small Ocean's 11 franchise they worked together on. He was pretty funny about it.

There were an extraordinary amount of f-bombs in that movie. I've never lived in New England but it seems that every movie based in or around Boston goes overboard with the language.

It is not really overboard...Bostonians particularly Southies use the F word as thier primary art form. Some are more talented in this medium than others, but most everyone considers themself an F-ing Picaso.

Just watched it last week. I thought it was great. I agree with your observations.
