One of my closest friends growing up "came out" after he returned from his mission. It was one of the great shocks of my life to learn he'd been struggling with those feelings since he was a young child.

I have absolutely no idea.

When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |

I'm in the same boat. My gaydar is awful. A couple of years ago I was at a social gathering with my wife and chatted with one dude for most of the night. The next day my wife's co-worker said he thought I was flirting with him. I didn't know he was gay. We talked about sports!

I have a close friend who's father decided he was gay. That was a very trying period in her life.

No clue. I phrased it the way I did intentionally. I don't want to give out specifics, as it's a rather private matter, and several people know exactly who 'spaz' is, and it's not my place to share details.
Suffice it to say that the guy was happily married for well over 20 years, and never considered himself gay. Suddenly, he meets someone, and over a few years is slowly convinced that he is gay. Whether or not he actually was gay, and was 'brought to the light', or whether he was not, and was misled into choosing to be gay doesn't much matter, IMO. |

Choice or no choice? That is the question!

That's a serious man-crush, to suddenly choose to pack fudge.
I'm sure it was a conscious choice, like deciding chocolate is your favorite, instead of vanilla. |
