I've never denied his Mormon religion was a huge negative. I've said it is repeatedly. Yes, many people consider his religion a character issue, and that is most emphatically fair.

It is not fair if it prohibits the person from engaging with the person in the first place, especially as admonished by others.

I don't know what htis means. I've tried to explain what is and is not religious bigotry in another thread. Since you had no comment I assume you agree with my distinction.

Silence is not agreement -I've been busy and have not even read the thread ... claims of incomprehension are a dodge.

I liked Letterman's description of Mitt: "He looks like the American president ... in a Canadian movie."

Romney hadn't paid his political dues. His politcal credentials were governor in a liberal state. That is it. The rest of time no one really knew what he did but made a lot of money. Something people are naturally suspicous if not jealous of.

Heck, you have heard it church. Daddy, why is brother Jones so rich. Well son he puts his career ahead of his family son. I on the other time work hard in the church and play catch with you in the backyard. Son the scriptures tell us money is evil.

The only thing that bugs a rich republican is a richer republican.

The real power base is political hacks, the press and lobbyists. He had none of them.

To the other candidates he was the neighbor you hate because he is just too successful. Something has to be wrong with the guy.
