So much for the polls that showed Romney leading in CA. McCain won 42 to 33%.
It wasn't even close. |

How is it that they are able to "call" states when only 15% of the returns are in? Are they just basing all of that on the trends in the voter turn out and exit polls?
Obviously now most of the returns are in and McCain still has a good lead. |

Exit polls and results from certain "bellwether" precincts or counties that past history have shown reflect the state as a whole.
