I am too cheap. THis place does it for $15 bucks, I give her a 20, tell her to keep the change and I feel like a big shot and she gets a big tip. We are both happy. Given that I am as ugly as a mud fence, the quality of the haircut doesn't do too mcuh, so it is a secondary consideration.

Mine is a complicated 2 to 3 to 4 with a little hand cutting around the front. The older I get, the shorter I tend to keep it because I keep forgetting things like combing my hair, so its nice to roll out of bed and just go do what you want without bed hair.

No, its death we are scared of, the embellsihments help us pretend it is far away. We are also afraid of coffee-swilling grumps that don't know when to come in out of the rain, which is why we aren't Seattle-ites.

I just thought you were into the brilliant professor look. It now just dawned upon me that you hadn't combed your hair in a few weeks.

Did you get the mousse in your hair?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

No mousse. Instead she sprayed somethign on for the first time. I asked what it was and she said "It makes your hair shine more." Not previously having been aware that I had a shine deficit, I said "Shine?" and she said "You know, keeps it less fritz-y." SHe may have meant frizzy, or she may have meant less like some ugly dude named Fritz. Either way, the stuff smelled kind of Old Spice-ish so I didn't mind.

Wrong again. It's called the Word of Wisdom, and it does wonders for once appearance. Such as making a 60 year old Romney appear to be 50 years old.
