Even quicker....go to White Castle after midnight and wait for Indians, Chinese, and pretty much every other ethnicity to start pouring through the doors. Then, take your pick!

Maybe I can change my name to Rajiv? Thanks to the magical world of genealogy, I must be at least 0.00025% Indian through one of my lines somewhere.
Oh, the thought of coming home to Tandoori and Nan every evening... I am really excited with this idea. |

A very large Indian population here in Memphis, my friend. But I suspect Mike is right about the pressure to marry within the culture.
Who knows though. I'm sure you're a charming guy that could melt the heart of any Indian mother and father.

My ex-bishop was half-Indian. There is a white/Indian couple in one of the college station wards. In my circle of acquaitances there is a French male/Indian woman couple. So it's possible. Just fraught with difficulty.

Ute4ever, are you still moving to Memphis? Because the India Palace on Poplar just south of Overton Park has great food. Their lunch buffet is also quite reasonable. I think you could eat there every day and get your fill of Indian food for less money than it would take to marry an Indian bride. Of course, if you gave them enough business, you may be able to, just as myboynoah said, melt their hearts.

If you could get an Indian gal steeped in their culture, it would be awesome.
I used to work with a guy who was Indian. He would fly back for a month each year and take care of the businesses he had there. Very, very rich guy. His kids marriages were all arranged for them. Here is the great part. He messed around and his wife accepted it. Someone said it is part of the culture. ![]() |

BTW, there is a great Indian restaurant in the gas lamp district of SD called "Monsoon". Have you ever eaten there?
