Faith what is it? Religiosity, what is it?
I'm aware of the simple explanations we LDS use to attract nonLDS, and for many the simplicity is its attraction.
For me, Faith is the state of equilibrium of being in touch with the Divine, which we call Our Heavenly Father. Religiosity or spirituality is the process by which we connect to the Divine or develop the Equilibrium. Do these two provide "knowledge" as it were? To the extent one becomes acquainted with the Divine and develops an equilibrium, yes, there is a sort of fuzzy "knowledge" but it's not pure empirical knowhow. Does faith bridge "knowledge" gaps? No. It provides solace and hypotheses for how to act in good and difficult circumstances, it bridges cultural and social traditions, but it's not a pure arbiter of knowledge, nor is it truly intended to be.
