Default Faith what is it? Religiosity, what is it?

I'm aware of the simple explanations we LDS use to attract nonLDS, and for many the simplicity is its attraction.

For me, Faith is the state of equilibrium of being in touch with the Divine, which we call Our Heavenly Father.

Religiosity or spirituality is the process by which we connect to the Divine or develop the Equilibrium.

Do these two provide "knowledge" as it were? To the extent one becomes acquainted with the Divine and develops an equilibrium, yes, there is a sort of fuzzy "knowledge" but it's not pure empirical knowhow.

Does faith bridge "knowledge" gaps? No. It provides solace and hypotheses for how to act in good and difficult circumstances, it bridges cultural and social traditions, but it's not a pure arbiter of knowledge, nor is it truly intended to be.

My approach to my faith is that my religion provides me opportunity to serve others ... when I am in the service of others, nothing else really matters. It's a win win and that is how I approach, or attempt to atract non LDS (do missionary work). My faith in God is also my faith in my fellow man.

I can only aspire to your level of enlightenment. At this point in life, I am acutely aware of "man's inhumanity to man", and find it painful there are so many in the Church who find it distasteful to heed the words of the Savior about collectively bearing one another's burdens. Such members desire only to be served, rather than to simply reach out. I have faith in God, not so much in my fellow man.
