A few questions for the Democrats on the board..
What are your thoughts about Rep. Tom Lantos?
How do you feel that he told General Petraeus that he wasn't going to believe the report that Petraeus had yet to give?

Let me ask you this: If things were going badly, do you think there is any way in hell that he would say as much? I'm inclined to believe that he is going to say anything that his commander in chief wants him to say.

I think there are enough outside sources (including several notable Democrats) that have witnessed the progress being made in Iraq to substantiate Petraeus' testimony as being legitimate and not the regurgitated spin fed to him by the Oval Office.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. Still, what Lantos did was out of line, even for a bleeding heart.

Wasn't Westmoreland a four-star general?

Lantos is a bit of a loose cannon. I don't endorse what he said.

I didn't think you or any others here would. I was just curious. I asked this on utefans and the dems/liberals sent me nasty boardmails praising Lantos and bashing Petraeus. Moveon.org and daily kos kind of hate.

Has any Democrat denounced or even stated their disagreement with the move-on .org ad in the paper yesterday.
The democratic party isn't what it used to be when my Dad and I were democrats. |
