Veronica Mars...seriously
I have mentioned it in the past, as has some other posters, but if you have not yet seen the tv show 'Veronica Mars,' you need to go out and rent the first season. It is a fantastic show. Yeah, I know what you are thinking--that title is stupid and it sounds dumb. It is a terrific mystery and drama and comedy all rolled up into one.
You can rent the first season thru Blockbuster or Netflix and you will really enjoy it. It is very well written and it is very entertaining. There is a reason that it is on every critics annual top 10 list. Ok, I'm done. That was my plug for the day. |

I'm not familiar with it at all. In fact, I've never heard of it.
When did it first air and on which channel? Is it still around?

It is still very much on right now. It is on the UPN (http://www.upn.com/shows/veronica_mars/) CBS, I guess thru their owner companies, showed it on their stations this past summer for a few weeks to get people watching it.
It is in its 2nd season. My wife and I did not watch last year but then this summer, we rented the entire season 1 thru Blockbuster Online and loved it. They have one main mystery for the entire season, but each week, they have cases she solves and other things going on. You can pick up on the season by watching a regular episode but it helps if you have watched it earlier so that you aren't lost. I would suggest renting last season and then moving on to this season. It is worth it. USA Today and Entertainment Weekly both rated it in the top 10 of all television shows...Joss Whedon (Firefly, Buffy, etc.) says that he absolutely loves the show--he has a cameo on a couple of episodes...Stephen King said is the best show on television...anyway, I'll be quiet now, but it is pretty good. |
