The whole point of the thing is for people to stay attentive and to work on improving their team. As it was, once the draft was over, pretty much the season was decided, because no free agents available.

No wonder there was such poor participation.
Yeah that is nonsense. Drum won, as I recall, with a few big free agent pick ups. I won the year before dispite having injuries to key players, which as I recall was your excuse two years ago. Even with a 12 man league lots of players come out of nowhere or get big numbers when someone gets hurt.

Drafting, of course, is a key part of fantasy success however. Maybe we could set it up to draft randomly which would leveling the playing field somewhat and give you a sporting chance.

I wasn't sure if I played you or SteelBlue...or Ohio...nevertheless, it was a good year, looking forward to it...

Is it too early to get a league going? Will people remember in a month that they signed up?

I'll see if I can set up a league tonight and then work on getting the format set up and what not.

I didn't mind the format last year so much. It was a little heavy on the draft, but there was enough wiggle room in the free agent market that you could make some decent pickups. After getting stuck with Jake Plummer for the first half of the season, I was definitely able to improve that position with a trade and free agent pickup to finish the season better than I began.

IIRC, SoCal and Fusnik definitely failed to represent after the draft.
