If people would quit preaching that just being righteous will overcome despair, and actually deal with the depression issues, maybe some of these suicides can be prevented. But no, too often, I see morons saying if you just are righteous and keep the commandments, you can overcome depression. They're idiots.

It would be interesting to see if nationwide LDS teens comitteed suicide at a higher rate than non-LDS kids. There are certainly aspects of church culture that can feed into depression.
