Not really? Justin Jones a 3rd stringer was burned repeatedly in the 4th quarter. I listened to the game.

Because Utah has higher defensive stats in most areas except for the one that really counts.

Simply put,,you're wrong. First Quarter: 86 yards 1 td. (Maybe they started their reserves since they were looking ahead to OSU?) 2nd quarter: 42 yards in the 2nd quarter (not to bad by Utah) 3rd quarter: 66 yards in the 3rd. 4th quarter: 1st drive: 3 and out pass broke up by Brice Mccain (not a backup) 2nd drive: 63 yards and a td, tackles made on the drive by Paul Kruger and Brice Mccain (not backups) 3rd drive: 54 yards (tackles made by all backups) So he only threw for 257 yards against the starters Not thing I know you're gonna pull a PortlandUte and tell everyone how McBride isn't classy at all because he had the audacity to try and score points on the board when trailing by 30.

I'm not clear on where this lament of beating Weber State is going anymore, but I'll conclude by saying that I, as a fan, think last Saturday's stats are meaningless. Thursday's stats will be much more interesting to dissect with respects to how Utah is playing.

CJ pointed out Utah's standing in points allowed five posts back; that's why I didn't get it.

Isn't 5-0 the only stat that really matters?

It is. But the turnovers would concern as well as the offensive inconsistency if I were a Ute fan.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!! Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |
