Or my personal favorite is the estate planning that writes his firm into the will and trust. I wonder how many are disappointed when they are not in the will actual probating thereof.
Of course, I know some guys making 400 to 500k just off probate fees.

Wow, that must be a pretty high volume. I know in my state it isn't unethical to write yourself into a will but I don't think I would do it. Just too easy for an heir to point a finger and make a bar complaint later on. I don't need the money that badly.

No, the volume is low, the estates are simply very large.
And I make the client sign a statement that I advised them against it. I'm uncomfortable doing it, unless they persist. Of course, I've lost a lot of money that way.
