Hit pieces on Newt as dangerously weird and mentally ill
Weisberg, you may recall, is the guy who wrote a really nasty hit piece against Mormonism years ago, that I commented on CG.

Anyway, the point is that as the Newt insurgency becomes real, I think we are going to see a lot more of this kind of thing. But will it matter? These are just the talking heads. What about the down-in-the-trenches NASCAR voters who don't read articles of any kind? This is a time where demagoguery works (see Herman Cain), and Gingrich is good at it. Whereas Romney couldn't inspire a hay ride, much less a revolution. I fear for this country if Gingrich is elected President. |
