Default The downside of the Big 12 for BYU...possibly

Is the lack of TV exposure. Let me explain.

I can't remember the last time I have not been able to see a BYU game because it wasn't televised at all. Between ESPN gameplan in the old days, and the MTN and Versus and everything else. It wasn't always easy to watch, or cheap, but it was possible. Now with independence and the ESPN contract, along with BYUTV, it will be even easier.

I follow A&M somewhat, and there are always games that aren't televised at all. Like A&M vs. Nebraska a few years ago. And many of the crappy non-conference games that A&M plays. The top Big 12 games are on ESPN/ABC. Then the lower tier is on Fox Regional. But there is also the tier that is not televised at all, every single week.

IF BYU is invited to the Big 12, being able to televise games not picked up by ESPN/Fox has to be part of the contract. PERIOD.
