Default Has anyone changed their mind about torture?

Since all the debate started some years ago?

My theory is that whether you are for or against torture was long ago decided, probably when you were a child.

I've mentioned before that I read accounts of torture in communist countries against political dissidents (i.e. "enemies of the state") and thought it was abhorrent.

In my adulthood, I'm not able to see America do the EXACT same thing and now say "RIGHT ON!"

Now, I'm not a perfect person. I might even be a cruel person. I might even have a dark side that would make me an exquisite torturer.

But the decision to morally reject his approach was decided long ago.
