I don't know how deep you'd like to go into this, FM, but if you're going to base your argument here on rights, then you should start by acknowledging the differences between the rights of American citizens and those of foreigners living in Cuba. Yes, it matters.

The other interesting question to consider here weighing the wishes of the deceased mother vs the remaining father. You don't have that same circumstance with the FLDS.

Your analogy is really quite tenuous. I don't think it's very hard for a person to be in favor of one and against the other, and be on solid ideological ground.
