I did not see the interview, I only heard parts on the news over the radio. At what point in his statement did he pronounce "I am not gay?" The talk crew made it sound like that was his first and foremost declaration. It made me think of the lack of gay tolerance in the Intermountain West and how the first thing he would want to assert is that he is a straight manly man.
