Ag beat KU in Lawrence!
Texas A&M beats KU in Lawrence. First Big 12 South team to do so in conference history!
69-66 WHOOP! I love having a good basketball team. |

I should like to point out that those of us South-divisioners priviliged enough to have been part of the Big 8 have been known to defeat the Jayhawks at Lawrence. Oklahoma 16 times and Oklahoma State 10 times.
Of course with OU currently ranked 5th/6 in the South division, I'd probably be wise not to bring attention to the Sooner basketball program. That's amazing that A&M is the first to do it in Big XII era. I think the conference is what, like 12 years old by now!? |

I remember about a dozen years or so when Utah went into Lawrence and almost knocked of the Jay Hawks - I think Kansas finally won it by 3 or 4. Roy Williams was so bent that he said he would never again play the Utes in basketball and cancelled the game the next year - a game that was in Lawrence. Wusses. I lost all respect for Kansas that day and am happy whenever they lose.

I'm always glad to see Kansas lose. I'll never forgive them for Greg Ostertag.

nothing like breaking in my new satellite watching UT lose to A&M.
It must be surreal to all the limp-wristers in Austin to see A&M with a better basketball program. I used to watch A&M occasionally back in the Shelby Metcalf days. Back then A&M was mediocre which is a lot better than being terrible. But to be playas on the national scene, who would have thought it? |

Good for the Ags. It is always nice to see the Longhorns go down.
As for the Horns , how awesome is Kevin Durant? He is ready to go and score 20+ a game in the NBA next year. Unbelievable skill development. |

As long as A&M shows Billy Gillespie the $$ and the love, they are putting together a really good program and only gaining steam in recruiting. Gillespie is a really good coach and does a good job at developing his players and getting his players to buy into his system. Especially with 2-3 guys now looking at 1-2nd round NBA picks. HS fish will be giving their eye teeth to play for him.
