No. Sometimes the would-be orthodox get carried away with their rhetoric, but when they know you and know that you're sincere, they tend to exempt you from the criticism, or to tone it down, or something. Their aggresive approach becomes more passive-aggressive. I'm pretty low profile and demands for orthodoxy don't come up that often in Primary. I was once asked not to comment in EQ by a fellow who was way out of line. I was glad to recieve a call to serve in the primary shortly thereafter. I have served happily in the nursery and primary for four years now.

Mormons like me get into trouble when they either stop being orthoprax (keeping their covenants and performing in their callings responsibly) and/or start publically grandstanding about the inadequate character of GAs and local leaders (and in a few instances, about doctrines that the orthodox deem "sensitive.") The margin for error is narrower at BYU of course, and I probably wouldn't work at BYU-I.

I pretty much agree with all of this.
