Default Game Day Essentials

All right, everybody-- game day is on Saturday. I'm just curious as to what you consider to be essential for any game, whether you are watching at home or at the stadium.

First is the roster, complete with names and numbers; especially for the first few games. There's also the lucky articles of clothing (though I'd be a little scared if Mormons are able to distinguish which is their lucky pair of underwear . . .) What am I missing?

Should have the names and numbers memorized by now, come on!

Lucky BYU shirt.

Buffalo wings for away games on the big screen.

Nerdy headphones for home games, plenty of food and water to last me through the game packaged carefully to be able to sneak it in.

I listen to Paul James' Greatest Hits during the game.

if watching on TV, chat during game, esp. if ahead of other people (i.e. their feed is delayed).

I can't be on the internet during a game, it distracts me too much. Maybe during halftime for a couple minutes. Too much going on during a game to worry about chat or posting. One thing that boggles my mind is how Ute fans post and argue with Y fans during a Utah game. That's the ultimate definition of obsessed with your rival.

How obsessed is someone with their rival if he knows what rival fans do during a game?

If the rival is at my house watching my team with me, the answer is "not that much."

For example, BYU will play a day game, and I'll come home after the game and log in to see what the chatter is about the game, and the U will be starting a late game, and there will be U fans posting all over the place, some not even posting about their game but ours or about rivalry issues in general.

Blame the microwave oven and the 24 second shot clock... We've gotten to the point where we can't have even a vew seconds of down time... Time outs, moving the chains, commercials... We have to have something to do...

Like I said... I blame the microwave oven, the 24 second shot clock, and pre-made cookie dough for pretty much everything (especially pre-marital sex).

Gotta be wearing my new jersey with #1 on it. Blue BYU Cougars wristband. My wife also wears her matching women's jersey also with #1.
