Who drops everything and watches conference on Sat?
My wife is making me. I am falling asleep. Priesthood session and two sessions on Sunday is enough I say.

I got some of my best sleep back in college when going to my wife's grandmas house for conference weekend. Big old lazy boys, the soothing sound of L Tom Perry and the smell of cinnamon rolls in the oven. Resistance is futile.
Those days are done now that we have kids running around. But we still make it a point to not schedule anything this weekend. Could be worse - I could be finishing that laminate flooring project today that consumed every spare minute of mine over the past 2 weeks. |

I usually have to fight my in-laws to be able to watch conference. They like to throw big family get togethers where the t.v. is on in the back ground.

We try and watch all of the sessions with watch being the key word. I don't really get to hear as much of it as I'd like because my little ones are just too noisy. Priesthood session is the only one that I actually get to hear.

I will say that I feel no guilt missing a Saturday session though. Whereas if I miss a Sunday session I feel like I need to throw up a few Hail Mary's.

I miss shooting hoops at DT while conference was playing on the loudspeakers.

I'm a little bit disappointed. I haven't watched the priesthood session of conference for about 15 years, but every six months, without fail, my father calls me up and invites to attend the priesthood session with him. Every time I decline. This time, though, my father never called to invite me; it's kind of sad to think that he's given up on me. I wouldn't have gone, but it's always nice to be invited.
