Question for runners
How much time do you spend warming up and stretching before your normal run?

None, unless you count a slightly slower pace for the first 1/2 or 3/4 mile. For me, especially as I get older (30+), I find it more effective to stretch my legs for a minimum of 10 minutes after my run.

5 minute walk to warm up. Of course I roll out of bed and into my running shoes, so it takes me at least that long to wake up.
No stretching for me. |

A minute or two of stretching and then usually about a 5-minute walk and then I run. Depending on the length of the run, I will end it with a couple minutes of walking and some light stretching as well.

Just a couple minutes for me, then a slower pace for the first few minutes of running.
