Who's the better big game coach?
Is this a factor?

Wasn't BYU decidedly better in both wins but only won on clutch plays? The first year, I might guess Bronco did a great job coaching that game, but the last two years, one might say we underperformed.

Thank goodness for magic the past two years or we would have lost 6 in a row to Utah.

The MAFU in Kyle seems to have worn away. I'm impressed with the job that Kyle has done, and his stock, in my eyes, has shot up.

Kyle has morphed into a major league asshole, but he's a pretty damn good "big game coach". Better than Bronco? Not sure, but probably, for the reasons exie and SU have detailed. But I'll have a better answer come next Sunday.

Why do you say this? Did he do something that I can't recall?

Do you think he's a major league asshole for the same reason that many Utah fans think Mendenhall is a major league asshole?

Bronco can annoy me, so I definitely can see why some ute fans dislike him. Kyle has always rubbed me the wrong way. The whole holding Joe Glenn "accountable" thing just highlighted his lack of class and pettiness. But hey, same as with Bronco, if he was my team's coach knocking on BCS door, I really wouldn't care if he was an asshole or not.

My opinion of KW is based on personal interaction with him at events like Crimson Club luncheons, the coach's show on Thursdays, fanfest and the spring game. I'm guessing if you were to have the same interaction with him, you'd feel differently about him. I have no problems with Mendenhall. I think he's a decent man who is just trying to do his best and trying to cater to what he may think the fan base is like. If anything, hisstatements like the one about fans needing to prove their fan worth to the team - I may no have that right at all - make me laugh.
