Can men be friends with an attractive woman
with no sexual inclinations attached?
Archs reply in a previous thread got me thinking about this. Really, is it possible, men being what they are...to be a friend to an attractive woman without ever thinking anything sexual, or sexual overtones in the back of his mind. Thoughts? I would tend to think women can/could be friends (as a true friend) with a man...but I think it would be hard for a man to reciprocate in the same manner.

That question has already been answered in one of my favorite movies:

I believe so.
It's all about having the willpower to control one's drive.

Of course they can, it is very easy as long as you stick to one principle. You are gay.
Otherwise, very difficult for most men. |

So, your answer is "no". What does that say about us men, as a whole. I wonder why that aspect always has to be there.

I would, if they were interested as I, in intellectual pursuits, athletic pursuits or blowing things up, but because they aren't and because their emotional needs don't parallel mine, I wouldn't but for that instinct. There would be no species but for that instinct.

Speaking for myself, I already have enough friends.
No matter how beautiful she may be, she is still a woman, and that is a hard friendship to manage. Guys are much easier.
