Default Pres. Hinkley Died Today

I feel sad, actually. He was a humorous and nice old man. Obviously, he was not without flaws, but he was purely likeable and kind, which is why I liked him so much as a prophet - he was believable when he told us to have a little more compassion or to help others in need.

I actually met Pres. Hinckley for a moment and shook his hand (before he was prophet). That may be nothing to you guys that live in Utah, but it is something to a boy from Texas.

I met him once as well. He was incredibly kind and gracious.

I will miss him. I think he will go down as one of the most remarkable prophets to ever lead this church.

I never met him personally, but have been in the same room where he was giving a fireside etc...(like many of you I'm sure) and it was quite something to be in the same room with him.

Blase? Hardly. I think this is a very sad day for the church. I happen to know President Monson fairly well, though, and I am confident he will also be fantastic, if his health holds up.

This is one subject and topic where you'd be wise to shut the hell up and just sit this one out.

I don't think he was saying anything offensive. He just seemed to believe that people were responding apathetically and wondered why. No reason to get fired up from his post.

How were any of the responses apathetic?
